There are 8 basic parts to the site:

• Teachers' Workbook

  This is the most interactive section and will take about 30-40 minutes to work through 17 steps in your personal professional development plan.

• Administrators' Workbook

  This section provides an interactive self-assesment of yourself and the skills needed to be an excellent program administrator.

• Educational Opportunities

  This section provides an overview of the educational institutions that award credit courses in North Carolina. This section also lists educational non-credit educators.

• Professional Networking

  The definition of networking is offered as well as tips to be successful in using human and electronic networks. A link to several resources is included.

• North Carolina Child Care Regulations

  An overview of regulations is offered and a direct link provided to the North Carolina Division of Child Development home page with regulations and additional information.

• Financial Assistance

  This section provides resources and links about different funding options for furthering your education.

• Products and Publications

  This section provides specific actions and products that have emerged through the work of the Institute.
